Know Before You Go

The essentials, all in one place.

Travel Documents

Passport must be valid for at least 6 months past your return date. Confirm visa or eTA requirements per country. Photocopy your passport and email a copy to yourself. You'll need your passport (not a driver's licence) to board the ship.

Health & Vaccinations

Check with your travel-medicine provider 4 to 6 weeks before departure for any recommended vaccinations along your route. Pack prescriptions plus a few extra days' worth in your carry-on.

Money & Tipping

Bring a Visa or Mastercard with no foreign-transaction fee, plus a small float of cash. Cruise gratuities are pre-paid in your fare. For tour drivers and guides, USD $5 to $10 per person per day is standard.

Connectivity & Time Zones

Ship Wi-Fi packages are available onboard. For shore days, a global eSIM (Airalo, Holafly) is usually cheaper than carrier roaming. You'll cross multiple time zones, so adjust your watch on each transfer day.

Dress & Etiquette

Resort casual by day on the cruise. Smart casual most evenings, with a few formal nights. In Bali, modest cover-ups (shoulders and knees) are required at temple visits. A sarong is often handed out at entrances.

Emergency Contacts

Save the Manulife 24/7 line in your phone. Register your trip at travel.gc.ca/registration so consular services can reach you. Note the local emergency number per country.
